Company description:: In November 2001 Hewlett-Packard announced that they would withdraw support of their HP3000 product line. This means that all organizations that have business critical systems running on the HP3000 must adopt a new hardware platform to provide these business functions by the end of 2006. The applications providing these business critical functions must therefore be migrated or be replaced with a packaged product on the new platform.
Not doing so would mean that by 2007, a business could be impacted by issues on the HP3000, which they would have no means to resolve – a risk that most CEO/CIOs will find unacceptable.
They must move and time is running out. Globally this migration will cost to the tune of $1.2 billion. |
